High Desert Relief Is Returning to Zozobra for Our 4th Year

High Desert Relief is excited to be part of the 102nd Burning of Zozobra in Santa Fe on Friday, September 4, 2026.

This will be our 4th year participating in Zozobra, and we are proud to return for one of New Mexico’s most iconic traditions. The Burning of Zozobra takes place at Zozobra Field at Fort Marcy Park and marks the start of the historic Fiestas de Santa Fe celebrations.

Supporting a New Mexico Tradition

Zozobra has been a Santa Fe tradition since 1924 and is one of the most unique events in the state. Each year, the community gathers to say goodbye to gloom and welcome a fresh start with music, celebration, and the famous burning of Old Man Gloom.

For High Desert Relief, being part of Zozobra is about more than setting up a booth. It is about showing up for the community, celebrating New Mexico culture, and supporting an event that brings people together from all over the state.

The 102nd Burning of Zozobra is scheduled for Friday, September 4, 2026, at Fort Marcy Park in Santa Fe. Gates are listed from 4:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. by Tourism Santa Fe, and the official Zozobra site notes that the event is held rain or shine, weather permitting.
